DEAD MAN’S FLATS

DEAD MAN’S FLATS

DEAD MAN’S FLATS
This contemporary 2,500 sq ft residential project spans two levels, with the owner opting not to include a basement. As a result, creative storage solutions were developed and successfully integrated into the design.
Woodpecker and the customer selected European Northern Spruce for its suitability, with beams and rafters finished with fine-grit sanding and darkstain. This choice created a beautiful contrast while complementing the modern, light-colored interior.
The designer meticulously designed the home to maximize natural light by incorporating three staggered cubes, enhancing the sense of openness. The building envelope was constructed using the Enerficient Panel System, featuring 8” core walls and a 12” core roof, allowing the structure to go up in a remarkably short time.
